(from release info)
I still remember the shock I felt when I first heard this band. And whenever I drop the needle on one of their records, it always brings back the shock I felt then. I'm sure there are others who feel the same way, and if you get excited when you hear this album for the first time, that's something I can't wait to share with you. This was a split single released on F.O.E., a local label in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania in 1997.

This single broke the concept that emo music is usually 3 to 5 minutes long per song. The song is about 2 minutes long, and the rhythm changes and the drummer's oddly heavy hands make you feel more than the speed of the song. The guitars, bass, and drums are all in a state of "oiré-ore-ore-ore," leaving no space for sound and no time to breathe. The only releases during their active period were that split 7", the "FIRST CRUSH CD" and the "This is the Lehigh Valley Not South Park 7" compilation, and the band has only released four songs to this world. Since that time, I have been trying to get in touch with them, and I have been trying to get their contact information, but I have not been able to catch them at all. My aim was, yes, there must be unreleased songs.

In 2021, they actually changed the name of their band and were working on it at the same time, or rather, a melodic punk band called HOUSEBOY was their main band. When I was able to connect with the band and offered to listen to unreleased songs from DRIVER ELEVEN if they had any, they said, "We have an album's worth of recordings. I've had people come up to me and say they wanted to put it out, and it never happened. How about you? I jumped at the chance.

Disc 1 contains 21 songs that were recorded between 1997 and 1998 and have never been released to the public except for four previously released songs.
Disc 2 contains 21 songs recorded in 1997 at a live concert in a home recording studio, where only 50 cassettes were distributed to those who knew the performers.
Disc 3" contains 21 songs recorded in 1997 at the band's home, and only 50 cassettes were distributed at live venues to people who knew the band members. This is the one that no one but the members could hear until this time! This one was also recorded in 1997.

If you look at this recording period, you will notice that they wrote and recorded so many songs in these two years from 1997 to 1998.

The original recording was a cheap recording, and after remastering all the songs, it was released as a 3 CD set with a liner featuring interviews with the band members and lyrics translation, a reward to myself for my passion for DRIVER ELEVEN. The sound quality is rough, but this is the sound of the basement of that era, and I personally think that it is this sound that brings out the best in this band.

Perhaps for those who, like me, have listened to the previously released songs, you will be surprised that they had such a wide range of songs. If this had been released around 1997, they would certainly be deified today. In fact, after this, they went on to form a band called JOIN'R, which has been recognized and their releases are currently fetching tremendous prices. More on JOIN'R when I get a chance...
