Is this a revival or the future?
While various music genres have been undergoing a revival in Japan since the 2010s, there are now bands that are even more timeless. Those who express an aesthetic view of the world.

Catastrophe Ballet's 2023 work is a fusion of Japanese songs and the context of UK Goth/Posipan and US Christian Death, which branched out from the early punk era and contributed greatly to the Japanese visual kei context, and is sure to be understood by those who like it. The album was made into a physical cassette tape and comes with a lyric card that reflects their worldview.

It is a total expression of not only the sound but also the video and physical work as art, each of which is of high quality.

It is also interesting to note that the members of the band are punk and hardcore members such as SOILED HATE, zeami, and Angry Son... Musically, they may be completely different from each other, but the punk feeling they exude is reminiscent of the intensity and beauty (and bewitching) of the early Japanese visual kei scene, and the diverse musical backgrounds they have accumulated within themselves are filtered through the band's own output.
