ZEGOTA - "The Demos" (CD)

A collection of discovered sound sources, including previously unreleased material from ZEGOTA, is being released, here in 2025. It's amazing.
However, ZEGOTA is a band whose name I have seen but have not been able to get a hold of. Yes, I think they were rarely talked about in Japan, but that is because their music was not well received. But that does not mean that the band was not well-received musically. If you listen to their albums after this demo, you will be impressed by the fact that such a band existed. I feel that the sound of the time was very pure, and that people could fully believe in punk rock. It's not skramz, it's passionate hardcore. The enclosed interview is also valuable.

とはいえ、ZEGOTAというバンドは名前は見るけど中々手にいれるには至らないバンドでもあった。そう、とにかく国内では話題にあがることがほとんどなかったと思う。でもそれは音楽的評価が低いというわけではなく、この時代的にはこのデモ以降となるアルバム達を聴いてもらえればこんなバンドもいたんだっていう感動は得られると思います。いま思うとすげぇピュアで、かつパンクロックを信じきれている時代の音って感じがする。今の時代にはない強さはあるよ。skramzじゃない、激情ハードコア。封入されたインタビューも貴重だ。
