Otonashi Records was established by Akihito of 3LA -LongLegsLongArms Records- in a corner of Kita-ku, Tokyo. Originally operating as a half-warehouse, the property is now open as a record shop only on weekends.
3LA -LongLegsLongArms Records- is a distro that started in 2010 in Chofu City, Tokyo, in a room where Akihito lives. We started out by importing records that were not distributed in Japan and selling them on the Internet, but many listeners found us and have supported us for a long time. The distro became a record release label and invited several bands from abroad to tour Japan. The label became a history, a relationship with many bands, and a record store.
The initial philosophy of "sharing the joy of encountering new music" seems to need no modification today, although the team is limited to a small number of people, including YASS, YASUSHI, SU, and AOI,
In this supposedly irreligious Japan, we continue to stand here, maintaining our faith in a kind of sacred music.
