A noise rock band from Kentucky, U.S.A., named TOJO YAMAMOTO!

The members of this band include Elwood Francis of ZZ Top, who is said to be involved in mixing and mastering the band, but even though he is over 60 years old, he can still rock this shit. The pop-oriented rock of ZZ Top, but with the core of noise rock, is quite different, with spacy stoner rock euphoria, making this a satisfying five-song album.

Tojo Yamamoto” is the name of a professional wrestler who was active in the U.S. in the 1950s, an unscrupulous heel who took his ring name from Hideki Tojo, an army general of the former Japanese army, and Gojuroku Yamamoto, a navy general. However, the name “Tojo” in the olden days in the U.S. meant Public Enemy, and the name in the modern U.S. has a different connotation.

In this age of so much division, to dare to choose the “heel” instead of taking the side of “justice,” rock is to be a living disgrace. Quintessential.
