不夜城(Fuyajoh) + Never Confuse Loneliness With Isolation - "Split" (CASSETTE TAPE)

2025 split cassette featuring Tokyo bands Fuyajo and Never Confuse Loneliness With Isolation.

Fuyajo, whose sound seems to be growing more grandiose/epic (?) since their first release, includes a track nearing 10 minutes—8 minutes before the blast beats kick in... The envy-esque elements feel even more prominent than post-black. As noted when their solo release arrived, there's a distinct sensation of “tomorrow's narrative post-black blending with (present-day) envy-style screamo and Japanese rock in a progressive fusion.” Never Confuse Loneliness With Isolation mixes old-school passionate hardcore with industrial and “dissonant” chaotic noise, but seems headed toward a more niche direction, making them a good contrast to Fuyajo.

2025年作スプリット、東京の2バンド不夜城とNever Confuse Loneliness With Isolationのスプリットカセット。

最初の音源時よりも壮大/大曲化していく(?)不夜城が10分近い曲を収録しており、ブラストビート開始するまで8分...ポストブラックというよりenvy的要素が更に比重が高くなっている。単独音源入荷時にも書いているけど"明日の叙景的ポストブラックとenvy(今の)的激情ハードコアと邦ロックがプログレッシブに混ざりあったような感触"というのがある。Never Confuse Loneliness With Isolationは古い激情ハードコアとインダストリアル、かつ"不協"なカオティックノイズが混ざるが、よりニッチな方面へ向かっていきそうなので不夜城とは好対照かもしれん。
