AGATHA - "AGATHA" (CD)

The first album by Tokyo's AGATHA, an instrumental mass rock band, is finally completed in 2024.

The first album since the split with Stereotype a few years ago? The jacket artwork shows the birth of a new band that is maturing in its expression, while still maintaining the full swing of mass rock as a technical band.

The drummer who is also active in nhomme plays in AGATHA (previously, the drummer was Kou Nakagawa, who is active in various fields), and his sensitive yet explosive drum play is also brilliant in this album.

The drums play a major role in ensuring the physicality of the music in this genre, which tends to be too precise due to the technicality of the instruments. I think there is a point to this.

It seems that guitarist Miyake is limiting his live activities due to his arm problems, but there is a theory that when a person hits a wall, that's when the expressive activities really begin.

The voice doesn't come out or the body doesn't move like it used to, and from there it's trial and error. It's rather from here.
