Lamb's End - "Sentiment" (CD)

The core members of Nagoya-based Lamb's End, formed in 2024, are apparently still in their teens. They’re young.

Judging solely by their sound, they seem to draw from emo skramz and shoegaze, but rather than a 90s purist approach, it feels more like it fits within the context of Japanese rock from 2020 onward… Having written this far, even I’m starting to get confused, but for the younger generation, such context probably doesn’t matter—it’s simply “the sound of today.” A joint release by UNGULATES and ANGM RECORDS.

2024年結成、名古屋のLamb's Endの中心メンバーはまだ10代らしい。若い。演奏の音だけ聞くとEMOの激情ハードコアやシューゲイズを経由しつつ、とはいえ90年代原理主義というより2020年以降の邦ロック文脈的な...ここまで書いててわけわかんなくなっているんだけど、若き世代にはそういう文脈は関係なく「今の音」っていうただそれだけなんでしょう。UNGULATES と ANGM RECORDS の共同リリース。
