One dying wish - "Origami" (LP)
One dying wish - "Origami" (LP)
Formed at the end of the 2010s, the band is young and, of course, has a short history, but they are also reliable in that they produce work that seems to be closely intertwined with the intellectual elements of intense hardcore.
They are not like the B- or C-grade Skramz, and the band's name suggests that they are aware of which context they are in. The title of this work, “Origami,” is a Japanese word for “origami,” which can be folded and reshaped many times, and it expresses the idea that the process of making, taking apart, and reconstructing things, rather than the finished product, is what expression is all about. This is also what they have in common with the care they have for contemporary human society.
While presenting such things, their music is certainly interesting from a sound standpoint, and while changing form after form, one can still feel something like the axis of this band.
From the old-school Screamo/skramz sound to the disturbing and uncomfortable sound, the transition of the scenery spelled out with solid expressive power is interesting.
