Pool Kids - "Pool Kids" (CD)

Pool Kids' 2022 album suddenly broke out with their first album, and the record will wait until 2023 to be completed.

The last album, “Music to Practice Safe Sex to” (2018), was a big hit in the US emo context, and I wrote in the text at that time about what they were going to do next, but listening to the finished album again, the emo-ishness is there, but the nerdiness of the previous album But when I listened to the finished product again, I found that although it has an emo-like quality, the nerdy element of the previous album has diminished significantly.

The result is an album with the grandeur of stadium rock. Hey! But it's been four years since the last album, and the band and its members must have grown up inside and out, as well as in their skills. It is not just an introspective child mentality of emo, but life has its peaks and valleys. What will you keep on living your life without letting go? That's what EMO is all about. Don't forget.

But I am not so sure if this guitar-rock sound with synths is EMO or not.
