Raein + Daitro - "Split" (12inch)
Raein + Daitro - "Split" (12inch)
12inch reissue of the classic split!
The first pressing was released in 2004, and after two re-pressings, it reappeared in 2022 with a new cover. The artwork was created by Rodrigo based on the original work.
The split between Daitro and Raein, released in 2004 in 10inch format, was one of the best split releases in the intense hardcore (Screamo) scene that was beginning to flourish at the time, and was proof that not only the US scene, but also European bands such as Italian and It is also a proof that bands from Italy and France were establishing their originality with their interpretations of the scene that was beginning to flourish.
Daitro was in the midst of a transition from a four-piece to a five-piece band, just before their first album "Laissez Vivre Les Squelettes" (2005), and their sound was more intense than that of the album period when their style was more complete. Raein also released their second album "Il N'y A Pas De Orchestre" in 2003, which became a masterpiece, and the band was at its peak. It is only a coincidence that the timing of the most intense period for both bands coincided, but I can't help but feel some kind of fate in this, including the rough and shabby recording. Does that mean... inevitable?
According to Discogs, the first pressing was made in 2004, followed by a second pressing in 2005, and even a third pressing in 2007. The popularity of this disc shows how important it was at that time. And in the 2010s, it was not re-pressed at all... Even if you only listen to Daitro and Raein's albums, you should definitely listen to this album. It has everything that is important to you.
