sacrofuoco - "Anni Luce" (LP)

One Dying Wish, the Italian intense hardcore band One Dying Wish, which was previously in stock, has changed its band name to sacrofuoco and released an album in 2024.

As I wrote when One Dying Wish arrived, I think it is important to note that the band "makes work that seems to be closely intertwined with the intlectual elements of intense hardcore.

There is a transition of scenery from old-school Screamo/skramz sound to a disturbing and uncomfortable full sound, spelled out with solid expressive power, and this has not changed even after the name change to sacrofuoco. To begin with, none of the band members have changed. While the band's expression is driven by chaotic and violent performances, the text is also poetic, and the depth of expression remains the same as ever.

"The title of our new album is 'Anni luce' (Light Years). It is meant to measure our distance from those around us who, in Gaber's words, "pretend to be healthy," but in poetic terms, these years that we have kept to ourselves have helped us to understand what we want to be and what we do not want to be, illuminated our path and It is as if we have rekindled the sacred flame that is within us."
