Tetola93's full album!
Co-released by Meatcube Label and Canada's Zegema Beach Records, Ryan's label continues to bring Japanese hardcore to the world.
This intense hardcore from Ashikaga City is a transition between hope and despair, and you can fully feel their energy overflowing from the record. The lyric cards are also a must-read, and the content of the lyrics cut right to the heart of modern Japan, and although the songs were written around 2012, they sound so timely that the content of the songs are directed at Japan today.
The distorted sound and the groove of the band is truly unfathomable, and the flow is beautiful and unified from the introduction to the end. The band's sound is similar to that of Killie and Stubborn Father, but their expression is different and more dramatic.
As a side note, I was also shocked to find that “Bokura no Bokura”'s theme song, “Uninstall”'s passionate hardcore cover, blended in with the original songs without any discomfort. Bokura no Bokura” is an anime based on a Japanese manga, which Spanish hardcore Eros+Massacre also mentioned in an interview, but do not underestimate it. If you haven't seen it, you should rent it immediately from TSUTAYA, Amazon, or whatever.
The band has already broken up, and Tetola93's website still carries comments from the time of their breakup. The record was originally supposed to be released in cassette tape format and the discography, but all the songs have been re-arranged and re-recorded.
However, the fact that it was released on 12” and not on cassette, knowing that the band would disband, is a good job to Ryan and those involved, and shows the label owner's love for the band. The contents are also convincing, with a total of 14 tracks.
