aieum - "sangatsu" (10inch)

This is a 10-inch from an Okinawa-based band called aieum.
Although the band seems to be under the influence of post-rock, the contents of this album are not what is described in the context of so-called emo/post-hardcore, but rather have the texture and performance of abstract trackmakers, which makes it possible to collaborate with other musicians on the feature tracks without feeling uncomfortable. If you go back to their past Youtube videos, you can confirm that they have been active for more than 10 years, and there are live videos with asthenia and unripe, etc. They certainly seem to exist on the line where hardcore and hardcore intersect. Living in the center of Tokyo, we tend to think in terms of fixed genres, but it seems natural from a geopolitical point of view to be cross-genre in each local city, especially in Okinawa, of course.
