AMBIVALENCE - "SWIRL" (CASSETTE TAPE)

AMBIVALENCE from Nagoya, Japan has arrived with their 2025 album.

When we last received this album, it seemed to have a DOOM and neoclassical feel to it, but this album gives a different impression.

The first song sounds like a modern DOOM/STONER, but some songs have a strong alternative rock or hard rock flavor, and the sound production has been improved, so the tone sounds brighter.

There is also the word post-metal in the bandcamp tag. I think it's a mixture.

名古屋のAMBIVALENCEの2025年作が到着しています。
前回入荷していたときはDOOM感とネオクラスト感があったように思えたんですが本作聴くとまた違った印象に思えます。1曲目こそ現代的なDOOM/STONERに聴こえますが、曲によってオルタナティブロックやハードロックの匂いが強く、また音のプロダクションも良くなっているので明るいトーンに聴こえる。bandcampタグにはpost-metalというワードもあり。ミクスチャーなんだと思う。
