Beau Navire - "Hours"(LP)

Rereading my review from back then, I wrote that while One Sided's previous release, ‘Life Moves,’ was quite well-received, this album might surpass it. I was right. The band has further honed their expressive power since the last album, creating an album that feels more expansive and deeper in atmosphere. It genuinely feels like this album cemented the band as a flagship act. Comadre's Jack handled sound engineering, creating a signature sound that masterfully blends Deathwish-style modern production with the raw, violent energy of early 2000s emo. I distinctly remember it being universally praised upon release, and that hype was absolutely justified. A classic US emotional masterpiece from the early 2010s.

前回入荷のOne Sided『Life Moves』も相当好評だったが本作はそれをさらに上回る作品になっているかもしれない、と当時のレビューを読み返すと書いている。当たってました。前作より表現力も更に磨きをかけ、曲のもつ雰囲気により広がりと深さを感じさせるアルバムになっていて、実際にこのアルバムがバンドを看板になった感はある。ComadreのJackがサウンドエンジニアを務めており、Deathwish系の現代的なサウンドに、00年代からのRAWなエモバイオレンス感をうまくミックスさせた絶妙な音も特徴的。リリース当時も全方面でめちゃくちゃ絶賛された記憶はありますが、それは嘘じゃなかったなと思います。2010年代初頭の、US激情名作です。
