Coma Regalia - "il evectes" (LP)

The 2022 album by Coma Regalia, a historical witness to the US screamo scene, whose vinyl physical release seems to have come later than its initial announcement (around 2025, apparently?). Very few bands formed in 2010 are still active today, over 15 years later, and the melancholy born from such longevity has an indescribable quality to it. Although the band has accumulated an enormous number of releases throughout their career, I feel this work is a masterpiece that returns to the classic, quintessential style of passionate hardcore (gekijo hardcore).

US Screamo界の歴史的証人でもあるComa Regaliaの2022年アルバム、レコードはおそらく発表時より遅れてフィジカルリリースとなったはず(どうやら2025年？)。2010年の結成以降、既に15年の年月を超えて現行で活動するバンドは本当に少ないけれど、その長さ故に生まれる哀愁にはなんとも言えぬものがある。バンドは活動期間の間に膨大なリリースを重ねて来たけれど、本作は王道の激情ハードコアに回帰するような会心の出来だと思う。
