Gil Cerrone - "Consumer" (LP)

One of the best skramz in Australia, Gil Cerrone's latest album from 2024 has arrived.

First of all, the recording is excellent. You can feel the will to establish an Australian skramz standard sound that is neither American nor European trend, but built on their interpretation of history. It is transparent, beautiful, and has the catharsis of decay (a lame word) characteristic of emo-violence, and as depicted in the release information, it certainly has the manic concentration of bands such as Beau Navire and Funeral Dinner. I feel that the recording, the sound, the performance, itself contains the most message. Even if you don't speak the language, if you're a nerd, you'll understand. They are the real skramz.
