Expanding upon the acclaimed emo landmark established by their debut ‘Don’t Think About Death’, this work continues to explore the intersection of chaos and stillness, introspection and passion. Throughout, the unwavering sincerity at the core of their expression remains etched, reaffirming that this is the very essence of emo.

Since the release of their debut ‘Don’t Think About Death’, Chalk Hands have toured extensively across the UK and Europe. They've shared stages with acts like Touché Amoré and Frail Body, performed at the UK's premier festival ArcTanGent Festival (UK), which continues to showcase the forefront of contemporary heavy alternative music, and  A limited-edition Japanese CD release will be available via 3LA.appeared at the Sonic Rites Festival (Finland), a symbol of experimental heavy music in Scandinavia. Their tours have extended as far as Turkey, marking a quiet yet significant milestone for a band carving out new horizons.

True to the title of their new work, which evokes the “coastline” as the edge and boundary of the human spirit, their expression too seeks its next landing point.

Armed with the will to push their sound to new extremes, Chalk Hands now stand with unprecedented conviction and breadth. ‘The Line That Shapes the Coast of Us’ is an album built on the most intense contrast: brighter and more hopeful than its predecessor, yet also darker and more weighty.

Chalk Handsが2026年3月27日、新作アルバム『The Line That Shapes the Coast of Us』をDog Knights Productionsよりリリースし、シーンへ帰還する。高い評価を受けたデビュー作『Don’t Think About Death』で築いたエモの名盤的地平をさらに拡張し、混沌と静寂、内省と激情が交差する地点を探り続ける本作。そこには一貫して、彼らの表現の核心に宿る揺るぎない誠実さが刻まれており、それこそがエモの本質であることを改めて証明している。
デビュー作『Don’t Think About Death』のリリース以降、Chalk Handsはイギリスおよびヨーロッパ各地で精力的にツアーを重ねてきた。Touché AmoréやFrail Bodyとの共演を果たし、現代ヘヴィ・オルタナティブ音楽の最前線を提示し続ける英国屈指のフェスティバルArcTanGent Festival（UK）、さらには北欧の実験的ヘヴィ・ミュージックを象徴するSonic Rites Festival（フィンランド）にも出演。ツアーはトルコにまで及び、新たな地平を切り拓くバンドにとって静かながらも確かなマイルストーンとなった。人間精神のエッジ、境界線としての「海岸線」を想起させる新作タイトルの通り、彼らの表現もまた次なる着地点を求めている。
