New arrival of a 3-song EP by Tokyo lyrical hardcore weep, formed in 2022.
The EP has metallic riffs and melodic elements while inheriting the so-called "Japanese lyrical context," and has strong emotional elements. I used to think that 3LA used to have this kind of music in stock, but I guess we lost touch with it before we knew it, or maybe not so much recently. I think the current mentality of hardcore is more like escapism, redefined from an angle rather than facing society and reality, but the physicality and strength to face society of lyrical hardcore like this may be necessary in its own way.
