Boneflower - "Reveries" (LP: Sea Blue)

Spanish post-hardcore band Boneflower's 2025 album will be released via Deathwish, featuring a track with Touche Amore's Jeremy Bolm.

Their previous album, ‘Armour’, came out in 2020, followed by a split with lang in 2021 and a contribution to the massive US screamo omnibus ‘Balladeers, Redefined’ in 2023. This album marks their second full-length release spanning the pandemic era. Sound-wise, it's more refined, blending not just intensity but also quiet emotion to present their unique take on emo post-hardcore.

While the underground feel of their past work has faded somewhat, this is largely due to the increased emphasis on melody.

前作『Armour』が2020年、その後2021年のlangとのスプリット、2023年のUS-Screamoの巨大オムニバス『Balladeers, Redefined』への参加があったがアルバムとしてはコロナ期を挟んだ2作目、サウンド面もより洗練されており激しさだけでなく静かな感情もミックスさせた彼らなりのエモ・ポストハードコアの提示ということになると思う。過去作にあったアンダーグラウンド感は薄れていると思うがそれはメロディの比重が高まっていることも大きい。
