Noverte - "Life in minor"(LP)

Noverte's 2025 release from Italy is a magnificent work pushing beyond the boundaries of European skramz.

I can't quite put into words why I feel this way yet, but their songs aren't one-dimensional; they possess a sense of rhythm and pause, creating space for the listener's imagination to roam.

skramz is intense and powerful music, but precisely because of that, the quiet moments become crucial. It's easy to just scream at full volume, but life isn't that simple. Joy, anger, sorrow, pleasure—how deep into the heart can you go? This work is more of an EP than an album, with only four tracks total, but it's incredible how truly satisfying each song is.

And the performance is strong enough to fully convey this volume.

激情ハードコアは激しく強い音楽だけれど、だからこそ静けさが重要となる。爆音で叫ぶだけなら簡単、でも人生はそんな単純なものじゃない。喜怒哀楽、どこまで心の奥までいけるのか。本作はアルバムというよりはEPで全4曲しかないけれど、本当に十分満足ができる楽曲が出来上がっているのが凄い。

そしてこのボリュームをしっかり聴かせるだけの演奏がある。
