Neoclast Habak's 2025 album, which has gained a huge following in Mexico and abroad.

After the split release with Fractal and Lagrimas, this album “Mil orquideas en medio del desierto” is the result of the great expectations for the band Habak, which has already gained a large following in Mexico and abroad. The sound is more raw than on the previous album. The sound is recorded with more rawness than on their previous album, and the performances have naturally gained momentum after many tours and live acts. and hostility to capitalist society, but while admitting defeat, they sound punk as music to create a moment that is a little more livable in this cold world.
The title of the album means “A Thousand Orchids Blooming in the Center of the Desert. The desert is this world itself. And those thousand orchids have not yet blossomed. Habak is still dreaming of utopia and aiming for another horizon. This is the theme of the album, the soundtrack to our inseparability from our bodies in a capitalist society.
Co-released by Alerta Antifascista Records, Shove Records, Exabrupto Records, and Persistent Vision Records on vinyl, cassette, and CD on April 4, 2025. The 3LA CD will be available with Japanese translation and obi.

前作アルバム以降、Fractal、Lagrimasとのスプリットリリースを経て制作された本作『Mil orquideas en medio del desierto』はメキシコ国内外での支持も既に大きなものとなってきているHabakというバンドにかかる期待感に見事に応える作品となった。サウンドは前作よりも生々しさを増した録音で、多くのツアーとライブアクトを重ねて仕上がった演奏は当然勢いを増し、前作同様に現代に生きる彼らが直面する悲しみ、絶望感、怒りを芸術的な領域へと昇華させた美しいハードコアパンクのアルバムだ。DIYパンクカルチャーへの敬意と資本主義社会への敵対心を剥き出しにしながら、しかし敗北を認めながらもこの冷たい世界に少しでも住みやすい瞬間を作り出すための音楽としてパンクを鳴らす。
アルバムタイトルは『砂漠の中心に咲く千の蘭』を意味する。砂漠とはこの世界そのものだ。そしてその千の蘭は花開いてはいない。現在進行形で表現する多くの音楽家たちは現実を受け入れ、そして鏡となるその世界をアートへ映し出す。Habakは未だユートピアを夢想し、別の地平を目指している。それが本作アルバムが内包するテーマであり己の肉体と切り離せない資本主義社会の中で生きていく我々のサウンドトラックとなる。2025年最高のバンド、最高のアルバムだ。
