BYMYSIDE - "insieme ricostruire" (LP)

The 2025 LP by BYMYSIDE, an Italian screamo band active since the 2010s. Stripped of youthful initial impulses, the guitar ensembles and chord work—inevitably taking on a sense of melancholy—along with the resonance of the sound, create an urban style of screamo where a mix of refinement and aging delivers a unique sense of speed. Even as the beats shift toward mid-tempo, they continue to burn with a persistent passion for passionate hardcore. I believe the affection Japanese listeners feel for European screamo comes from the absence (or thinness) of American blues in it.

2010年代から活動を続けるイタリアScreamo、BYMYSIDEの2025年LP。若者特有の初期衝動は削がれ、否応なしに哀愁化していくギターアンサンブルとコードワーク、そして音の響きは洗練と老化のミックスが独特のスピード感を感じさせる都市型Screamo。ビートがミッド化していく中でもまだ激情ハードコアに固執する気持ちを燃焼させていく。日本人が欧州のScreamoに感じる愛着は、そこにアメリカ大陸のブルースが無い（もしくは薄い）からだと思う。
