Grimes - "HALFAXA" (LP)

This is truly Grimes-style “gothic pop”. Eerie, dizzying, dissonant, yet pop. It's Grimes' take on Dark Wave and Witch House.

The tracks, which are layered with angelic vocals as always, are said to have been influenced by church and religious music, giving them a somewhat chant-like, even mystical feel.

The early Grimes is quite different from her current style, but it is very important to trace her roots. I hope that those who don't know her early days will listen to this album.
