Indian Summer itself is required listening, but I hope this reaches young people who are deliberately collecting LPs in an era where you can hear everything online. The Bandcamp text lists them as one of the four major early EMO bands, alongside Rites of Spring, Moss Icon, Cap’n Jazz, and Indian Summer. Brilliant—maybe Japan should make this part of compulsory education too. Included is a 28-page booklet with detailed liner notes that let you feel their ethos (or rather, not something so grand—maybe they were just trying to do their own thing). Some even say this booklet is the real main event. No matter how widespread streaming becomes, the gods only reveal truth to those who try to read the expression. Indian Summer自体は必修科目ですが、ネットで全部聴けちゃう今の時代に敢えてLP集めてる若者に届いてほしい。bandcampでのテキストでは初期の4大EMOとして、Rites of Spring, Moss Icon, Cap’n Jazz、そしてIndian Summerを挙げている。すばらしい、日本でもそういう義務教育をするべきかもしれない。彼らの思想(というかそんな大それたものではなく、ただただ自分たちでやろうとしていたってだけかもしれない)を感じることが出来る詳細なライナーノーツなどが掲載された28ページブックレットが封入されており、それこそが本体という説すらある。いくらサブスクが浸透したとしても、表現を読み取ろうとする者にしか神は真実を与えない。受け身のままではいられない、泣き言いう前にアクション。よろしくお願いします。だからこそIndian Summer...
