Coven - "La chaleur nous accable"(LP)

A new band from France, Coven, has arrived for release in 2022.

The first EP “Le Blizzard Persiste” (2020) and the second EP “La Chaleur Nous Accable” (2021) are included in this album. The second EP is not Screamo, but mid-tempo, BPM-driven hardcore like Daitro from France.

Perhaps it's the sound of the French language that makes it so, but there is something unique here that you can't get from Screamo/Skramz in English-speaking countries. Personally, I prefer the gaping sound of the first EP, but throughout, melancholic nuances and the ephemeral passion of intense hardcore coexist, making this band an interesting prospect for the future.
