Frack! - "Accelerant" (Pro CDR)

US Sacramento's FRACK!!! who want Lemmy Kilmister back is certainly cool!

The public has been listening to them so much on bandcamp's #noiserock tag, but they are so good, they have both LP and CD in stock. The band's 80's sound, which is hard to believe that they are from the 2020's, has a hint of US hardcore and grunge from BLACK FLAG, and their mid-tempo killer grooves are similar to TAD's, and it sticks with me personally.

Recently, bands like The Jesus Lizard and NoMeansNo have been showing their influences from the past, but what they are doing is to randomly recombine even more miscellaneous references and present the power created by the chaos to the modern world. The groove, augmented by the seamless playing and raw recording, encourages creativity.

世間的にはbandcampの #noiserock タグでもめちゃくちゃ聴かれているのだが、良すぎてLPもCDも入荷した。一聴して2020年代のバンドとは思えない80年代のサウンドは当時のBLACK FLAGからのUSハードコア、そしてグランジの匂いを纏っておりミッドテンポでキラーなグルーヴを叩き下ろす様はTADにも通じるところがあり個人的にも刺さる。The Jesus LizardやNoMeansNoといった過去のバンド達からの影響を公言するバンドは最近目立つような気がするが、彼らがやっていることは更に雑多な引用元を無造作に組み替え、その混沌が生み出すパワーを現代に提示する。隙のある演奏とRAWな録音で増強されたグルーヴが創造力を促す。
