Gensenkan - "7 Songs" (CD)

Gensenkan, who used to advocate “Syobo Skramz,” has dropped the term and created this pure hardcore. Is this a reaction to the backlash or an expression of what is to come? This is a 7-songs album that tests both sides.

So Gensenkan's latest work, 2024, is made as “pure hardcore. Indeed, the sound has changed drastically and easily at first listen. The sound is rougher and more raw, with a rugged recording that amplifies the primitive feel of the music, and a low center of gravity. It is very interesting to see how this change, which seems to be a return to the roots of skramz, who were alive in the 2020s, will affect today's passionate listeners. Will it attract them or pull them away? Is this a reaction to the shaking back into unfinishedness, abandoning his own signature that seemed to have been established, or is it an expression of what is to come? The 7songs will test both sides, although all the songs have not yet been released.
